How the subscription split works
Yearly plans are converted to a monthly cost (price ÷ 12). Each subscription is split equally between the people who use it. Billsplitly then compares that with who actually pays each bill and gives you the fewest monthly payments to even things out.
More in the guide to splitting subscriptions. For rent and utilities, use the roommate bill splitter.

Frequently asked questions
How do you split a family plan fairly?
Divide the price by the number of people who use it. If some people use it much more, use the main bill splitter with custom shares instead.
How do yearly subscriptions get split?
The yearly price is divided by 12, so everyone pays a monthly amount. You can settle up monthly or once a year (multiply by 12).
Is it OK to share streaming accounts with roommates?
Most services allow sharing within one household. Sharing across households may break their terms or cost extra. Check each service's current rules.
Can I leave someone out of a subscription?
Yes. Untick them under "Used by" and they won't pay any of it.
